About Gopher Ridge Outdoor Ministries
Mission
GOPHER RIDGE OUTDOOR MINISTRIES mission is to seek to encourage and empower fatherless children of all ages, disabled veterans, law enforcement and firefighters injured in the line of duty who are physically challenged, through guided fishing, hunting, archery, kayaking, planting, safety, small equipment repair, just to name a few, and to provide instruction with experience; providing skills that will benefit them throughout their lives, such as work ethic, resilience, grit, integrity, self-awareness, control, and strong communication skills.
Vision
GOPHER RIDGE OUTDOOR MINISTRIES exists to encourage Christ-filled relationships that will equip others with lasting solutions for their physical, spiritual and educational needs in order to empower individuals to rise above their current situation.
GOPHER RIDGE OUTDOOR MINISTRIES is a non-profit corporation and operates exclusively for religious, educational and charitable purposes as a Section 501(c)(3) organization.
Having lived a blessed life with a foundation of Jesus Christ, we, the founders (Jonathan, Audra, Jason and Justin Smith) of GOPHER RIDGE OUTDOOR MINISTRIES have seen first-hand the needs of many living with physical and economic challenges. Our goal is to seek out the gifts and talents of individuals in local communities and help develop opportunities for them to utilize these gifts in ways that provide long-term solutions. We also plan to minister to people living with challenging physical or emotional situations by assisting to increase skills and confidence levels that would equip them to face the everyday challenges of life and increase opportunities for them in the future. GOPHER RIDGE OUTDOOR MINISTRIES will seek to provide spiritual hope as well, as we seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ.
This mission will be carried out in the mountains of West Virginia in the town of Princeton.
